Michigan State's home game against the Nebraska Cornhuskers on Nov. 4 received its kickoff time and television assignment on Monday. The game will start at noon Eastern Time and be broadcast on FS1. Streaming will be available via the FOX Sports App.
It will be UNL's fourth visit to East Lansing since joining the Big Ten in 2011, and its second in the past three years. A thrilling 62-yard punt return touchdown by Jayden Reed set up overtime in the 2021 matchup. The primetime game ended with a Spartan defensive interception and a 21-yard field goal by Matt Coghlin for a 23-20 MSU victory.
Meanwhile, the Spartans are 3-4 against the Huskers as Big Ten foes with a chance to even it up at 4-4 next Saturday.
Michigan State enters Week Nine with a 2-5 record and will look to snap a five-game losing streak this Saturday when the team travels to Minneapolis to take on Minnesota. It will be MSU's first visit to Minneapolis since 2017, and the Spartans are 1-1 against Gophers' head coach P.J. Fleck.
Meanwhile, Nebraska will be taking on Purdue in its homecoming game. The Huskers enter the matchup at 4-3 overall and on a two-game winning streak.
The Huskers lead the Spartans 9-3 all-time in the series, but MSU is riding a one-game win streak. The teams first met in 1914 and then again in 1920, both games being played in Lincoln. The series did not resume again until a home-and-home in 1995-1996, with the 2003 Alamo Bowl being the only other meeting in the series before becoming conference foes.
