Michigan State hosted its "Spartan Football Kickoff' event this past weekend, which was the final practice of the spring 2023 season. While the format was more of an open practice concept instead of a traditional spring game, fans were treated to their first live look at the Spartans this year.

Spartans Illustrated has rapid analysis from Saturday, observations and quotes regarding the quarterback competition, with more content from the spring event to come.

Additionally, photographer Marvin Hall was at Spartan Stadium on Saturday to capture all of the happenings. It was a "beautiful day for football" and the gallery below features 63 images.
