It was a big win for No. 12 Michigan State hockey on Friday night as the Spartans defeated the archrival and No. 6-ranked Michigan Wolverines by a final score of 2-1.

MSU's Cole Krygier and Tiernan Shoudy each scored a goal, while Michigan's T.J. Hughes scored the only goal of the night for the Wolverines.

Michigan State and Michigan will play in Ann Arbor on Saturday night.
