Dominant Ohio DT talks recruiting and Michigan State

Jowon Briggs turned in a dominant performance at the Rivals Three Stripe Camp in Hilliard, Ohio, last weekend.

Ohio State and Notre Dame were thought to be big leaders for Briggs, who is ranked the No. 2 player in Ohio. But scholarship slots are filling up, and the well-rounded Briggs is not interested in speeding up his recruiting process. Briggs is a beast on the field and in the weight room, and off the field he’s a bit of a computer nerd, making him a refreshingly intriguing prospect.

During the April and May evaluation period, Michigan State stepped up its visit contact with Briggs. When asked if Michigan State still has its foot in the door with him, Briggs said, “Everybody still has a foot in the door. I’m completely open. It’s just about me gathering as much information as possible and figure out what I want to do.”
