Neuqua Valley (Ill.) junior wide receiver Owen Piche took his first trip as a recruit to Michigan State over the weekend, a school he's been to visit many times because his dad is a Spartan.

Saturday, along with his dad, Piche tripped to East Lansing.
"I had a great time. Michigan State did an amazing job of showing the recruits what Big Ten powerhouse football is," Piche said. "I talked with Coach Ron Burton, my area recruiter. He knew a lot about my season and how my team had performed."
"Just being around the program was amazing. I have always dreamt of playing on that field since I was a little boy, so to be there was something special."
Along with Piche, Neuqua Valley is home to top junior receiver prospect Isaiah Robertson -- a pair that could make big waves next season. This year, they advanced to the second round of the Illinois State Playoffs.
"Coach Burton was very complimentary about the season we had. He seems to think we will have a big year next year, with Isaiah and I being seniors," Piche said.
He added, "From what I understand I am on their radar. Coach Burton also said he's going to make sure I am at camp this summer because they like to see guys perform in person."
Piche has plenty of interest, but is still waiting on his first offer -- and is doing something about that this offseason.
"I'll be working with Acceleration training all offseason on my speed and explosiveness. I'll be playing a lot of defense for Midwest Boom's 7-on-7 team so I can send out film to coaches of me on defense. I am hoping to draw some offers this spring," Piche said.
Next up for Piche is a visit to see Western Michigan play, then he's heading down to Duke.
