The hype around Michigan State basketball is back and is even louder than it was earlier this season when the team was on a 13-game winning streak. Inside the team’s practice facility at the Breslin Center, though, the team and head coach Tom Izzo are sticking to the idiom that has gotten them to this spot: one opponent at a time.
“It’s one game at a time, because you all know that Wisconsin’s playing as good as anybody,” Izzo said on Friday. “They get beat by (Oregon) when they were 17 up and everybody says - ‘well’ - they’re playing good; they’re a good team and just ‘cause we’ve got them at home doesn’t mean anything. They’ve beaten us here more than a couple times.”
