V-Cast: Tying up loose ends, Spartans prep for FAU

EAST LANSING - The bad taste from a 28-6 victory over Youngstown State remains for the Michigan State football team.
The No. 16 ranked Spartans are focused on cleaning up the sloppy play that kept them from putting bigger numbers on the scoreboard against the Penguins.

After practice on Tuesday, SpartanMag.com staffers Jim Comparoni and Paul Konyndyk looked back on Week 1 before looking ahead to this weekend's opponent Florida Atlantic.
Among the topics touched on the latest V-Cast is the shake-up at linebacker and left tackle on the Michigan State depth chart.
Dan France will make his first start of the season against Florida Atlantic after backing up Jared McGaha in the season opener. McGaha will move to back-up right tackle behind Skyler Burkland.
Fou Fonoti moves from back-up right tackle to back-up left tackle behind France.
Sophomore Denicos Allen moves into the starting line-up at Sam linebacker after backing up Steve Gardiner during the first week of play. Allen earned a spot in the starting line-up with a strong second-half performance against Youngstown State.
The starters at linebacker will be Max Bullough at Mike, Allen at Sam, and Chris Norman at the 'Star' linebacker spot.
Comp and PK also share their thoughts on fifth-year senior wide receiver BJ Cunningham, who needs just one more reception to move out of a first-place tie with Matt Trannon for career receptions at Michigan State.
[Editor's Note, Michigan State's career receptions list is: 1. Matt Trannon (148), 1. B.J. Cunningham (148), 3. Andre Rison (146), 4. Courtney Hawkins (138), 5. Charles Rogers (135).]
