During the recruiting process, he wasn't promised he could play linebacker, he wasn't promised the No.1 jersey. But Coach D did say something about tight end. And Big Will hasn't forgotten.
"My motor would never stop if I had the chance to play offense," Gholston said. "But I like hitting people; I don't like getting hit.
"Coach D, when I was being recruited, he did say I could play some tight end. I may have to bring that up."
Maybe Saturday night, the 6-7 275-pound defensive end can bring it up over a steak dinner.
