SpartanMag.com takes an early look at some of the players who will be highly covered by both the Spartans and the Wolverines over the coming months. The class of 2013 already has some high-end talent and several prospects will surely emerge this spring as camp and combine season hits full stride.

2. QB Shane Morris of Warren DeLaSalle High School
Scoop: The future Wolverine has a cannon for an arm and will certainly be an Elite 11 and Rivals100 prospect
3. ATH Wyatt Shallman of Detroit Catholic Central High School
Scoop: At 6-foot-3, 250-pounds he can play a lot of positions, but many schools like him as a RB due to his exceptional athletic ability.
4. LB Jon Reschke of Birmingham Brother Rice High School
Scoop: Has all the tools, size, speed, instincts, to be an outstanding MIKE linebacker at the next level.
5. OT Riley Norman of Cadillac High School
Scoop:At 6-foot-8, 305-pounds Norman is a massive prospect that is both athletic and powerful. Tremendous upside
6. RB Gerald Holmes of Carman-Ainsworth High School
Scoop: Physical runner that likes to punish tacklers. Now that the Spartans have offered look for many to jump on the bandwagon.
7. DE Luke Maclean of Grand Blanc High School
Scoop: At 6-foot-4, 240-pounds with a 4.7 forty, Maclean has the size and speed that makes defensive coordinators very excited about his potential
8. OG Cameron Dillard of Canton High School
Scoop: Dillard's rate of improvement between his 10th and 11th grade year has been as good as anyone we can remember. He puts in the off-season work and the results are impressive.
9. RB Berkley Edwards of Chelsea High School
Scoop: Has great bloodlines and has been very productive on the field. He may lack ideal size, but his speed is elite and he understands what it takes.
10. OC Nate Jeppesen of Portage Central High School
Scoop: If you are looking for a proto-tyical OC, Jeppesen could be the perfect fit. CMU and WMU have already jumped on him. Multiple Big Ten teams are very interested.

NOTE: Several of the players listed above could be top ten level recruits before long. All we need to do is remember prospects such as Keshawn Martin, Valdez Showers and Thomas Gordon as players who flew under the recruiting radar for various lengths of time.
