Recruiting: Five names to know

Recruiting is still very much in the early stages and numerous prospects that will be signing with Big Ten teams come next February may not even have a scholarship offer yet. With that said, SpartanMag.com looks at five players that could be very much on the Michigan State recruiting radar sooner rather than later.
CB Jaleel Hytchye of Cincinnati LaSalle High School, Ohio

The 5-foot-11, 165-pound Hytchye is a player the Spartan staff is taking a close look at for the class of 2013. With offers already on the table from Kentucky, Kent State, Ball State and Western Kentucky, Hytchye is not a sleeper recruit. This is simply a case of a player having to come to camp to get his offer. Jermaine Edmondson did that last summer and Hytchye could do the same this year. Michigan State has already had him on campus as have the Michigan Wolverines. Hytchye attends the same school that Garrett Celek attended.
TE Greg Hart of Dayton Archbishop Alter High School, Ohio
Michigan State is a great school for tight ends and Hart will be one of the top players at that spot in the Midwest. The 6-foot-5, 225-pound prospect does not have a Spartan scholarship offer yet, but that may simply be a situation of him needing to get on campus before he is officially offered. Indiana, Kentucky, Northwestern and Pittsburgh have already extended him a scholarship as have numerous MAC programs. Hart's skill set is very similar to that of Brian Linthicum in that he would be a tight end that could go in motion as well as line-up as a H-back.
Cole Luke of Hamilton High School in Chandler, Arizona
Michigan State has been doing some work in Arizona the last 12 months and they are hoping it will pay off in 2013. Luke is one of the top defensive back prospects in the nation for the class of 2012 and the Spartans are looking to get him on campus this summer. Luke will likely take a Midwestern trip which will allow him to hit the schools that are after him like Michigan State, Michigan, Purdue and Notre Dame. He could be recruited by the Spartans to step in for Johnny Adams.
DL Jarrod Clements of Dayton Dunbar High School, Ohio
A few years ago Michigan State was able to sign defensive back Roger Williamson out of Dunbar High School. This year they are back down there taking a look at defensive lineman Jarrod Clements. At 6-foot-3, 240-pounds Clements has defensive end size right now. However, he may end up developing into a defensive tackle prospect before all is said and done. Look for Clements to be a summer camper in East Lansing. He already has scholarship offers from Illinois, Louisville, Tennessee and Toledo.
DE David Kenney of Indianapolis Pike High School, Indiana
It is a great year for talent in the state of Indiana and Kenney is one of the main reasons why. The 6-foot-2, 250-pound prospect already has offers from Indiana, Iowa, Cincinnati, Minnesota, Iowa State and Louisville. Many powerhouse schools are waiting to see what happens with other top prospects like Darius Lathem and Elijah Daniel, before they extend a scholarship. Michigan State would definitely like to capitalize on the high-level of talent in the Hoosier State this year and getting Kenney to attend camp will be key.
