"Really I have just focused on speed work and just trying to get my head to the ball. And reading keys and defensive stuff," Pearson said.
Pearson may only be a sophomore but he's already added offers from Akron, Western Michigan, Central Michigan and Eastern Michigan.
"Most colleges are recruiting me as a safety. Really I have always liked it. I like being able to read the quarterback and come down and reading the lineman and making tackles. I was always the guy who liked to make tackles," Pearson said.
Pearson has also received interest from the Spartans, plus has visited campus already.
"It is a nice place. I've been there a couple times. I've gotten used to the coaches and knowing some of the palyers, where they have come from and places like that," Pearson said.
Pearson lists UCLA, Cal, USC, Oregon as well as several east coast destinations as places he would like to visit in the coming months as well.
