Snider signs with Louisville

What good is the early signing period or any signing period, day etc. without a little drama.

Four-star point guard, Quentin Snider , gave both the Cardinal and Illini fan bases something to talk about. Now all the talk, rumors and sources can be as ease, the No. 31 prospect in the Rivals150 has officially signed his National Letter of Intent with the Louisville Cardinals.

Snider committed to Louisville early and it seemed to be a match made in heaven, as he was a life-long fan and a hometown boy. Not long after the commitment of another highly-touted point guard JaQuan Lyle to Louisville, Snider decided it was in his best interest to open his recruitment back up. It makes sense for that reason and the fact that he had never really went through the processes of recruitment, committing as a sophomore.

After the de-commitment Snider saw an abundance of interest from school all across the nation. He focused in on UCLA and Illinois. After taking official visits to each, Snider made the call and Illini it was.

With the early signing period approaching, Snider was asked by Kentuckypreps.com if he would be taking part. No one in Snider's camp responded and now we know why.

Even after pledging to Illinois, Snider never seemed to be overjoyed about the situation. Then again, he is a pretty mellow guy off the court.

If you grew up in Kentucky, especially in the Louisville area, you know what it means to be a fan of a certain college. It defines who you are in many circles and usually the tone of banter between you and your friends.

Seeing as how Snider has been a Louisville fan for his entire life you can see why he would sign with the school who may or may not have inadvertently pushed him away.
