Practice Insider: Stopping Jahvid Best

One of the nation's top weapons, Cal running back Jahvid Best, has the attention of the USC defense.

Best has already scored eight times and it averaging 6.8 yards per carry.

While Trojans aren't telling when it comes to what they have in store for one of the country's best runners, it should come as no surprise that Taylor Mays and Will Harris will be crucial in their efforts to contain Best.

"That's our main focus," Harris said. "We all believe if we contain him, we've got a good chance of winning the game. He is their best player.

"He's real fast. If he gets out on the outside, it's going to be a long day. Our main focus is to keep him contained just like Oregon did and every other team should."
