Five future Horns still going strong in playoffs

Here's a look at the stats and scores from the entire Texas Class of 2009, as well as other key names/targets/prospects from 2009-2011.

Texas 2009 commitments

QB - Garrett Gilbert - Lake Travis

Gilbert completed 12 of 25 passes for 234 yards and a touchdown, while rushing for 125 yards and five touchdowns on 12 carries, in 55-32 win over Alice in the Alamodome. Through 13 games, Gilbert has completed 236 of 244 passes for 3,848 yards, 44 touchdowns and only three interceptions. He also has added 514 yards and 17 touchdowns on the ground.

TE - Trey Graham - Waco Midway

Graham did not catch a pass in Midway's thrilling 41-36 win over Highland Park on Friday. Overall, Graham has caught 18 passes for 240 yards and four touchdowns.

This week: vs. Longview at 8PM on Saturday (Texas Stadium in Irving)

OL - Mason Walters - Frenship

The undefeated Tigers rolled up 385 yards of offense in their 38-35 win over Denton Ryan. Walters has graded out at 93% or better each week this season, has 32 pancakes, 46 knockdowns and has allowed only one sack all season.

This week: vs. Denton Guyer at 2PM on Saturday (Jones Stadium in Lubbock)

OL - Thomas Ashcraft - Cedar Hill

Cedar Hill tallied 300 yards of total offense (110 rushing/ 190 passing) in a 41-35 win over Mansfield.

This week: vs. Wylie at noon on Saturday (Texas Stadium in Irving)

OL - Garrett Porter - Odessa Permian

Permian rushed for 314 yards and passed for 152 yards, but it wasn't enough in a 28-22 loss to Allen. Through the first ten games this season, Porter had 98 pancake blocks and 104 knock-downs.

OL - Paden Kelley - Lake Travis

The Cavs rolled up 451 yards of offense, as they beat Alice 55-32.

Other key 2009 prospects

WR - A.J. Dugat - Dayton

Dugat caught 11 passes for 136 yards and a touchdown in a 28-13 win over Rosenburg Terry. Dugat has 98 receptions for 1,531 yards and 18 touchdowns as a receiver, while adding 485 yards and six touchdowns on 46 carries.

This week: vs Brenham at 6pm (Rhodes Memorial Stadium)

Ath - Cody Green - Dayton

Green did it all for Dayton in a 28-13 win Terry, Green completed 14 of 21 passes for 199 yards and a touchdowns (one interception), while also rushing for 174 yards and two touchdowns on 24 carries. The Nebraska commit has completed 194 of 298 passes for 2,663 yards and 27 touchdowns (only five interceptions), while adding 1,094 yards and 23 touchdowns on the ground.

This week: vs Brenham at 6pm (Rhodes Memorial Stadium)

Ath - Dexter Pratt - Navasota

The LSU commit rushed for 82 yards in a 34-28 overtime loss to Waco LaVega on Friday. Pratt now has 1,352ards and 19 touchdowns on 170 carries for the season.

QB - Tyrik Rollison - Sulpher Springs

Rollison completed 21 of 26 passes for 301 yards and three touchdowns, while also adding 67 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries in a 42-14 blasting of Denison.

This week: vs. Rockwall-Heath at 7:30PM on Friday (Texas Stadium in Irving)

QB - Russell Shepard - Houston Cy Ridge

Shepard was a showstopper against Copperas Cove, rushing for 311 yards and three touchdowns on 31 carries, while also completing 12 of 20 passes for 227 and three more touchdowns in a 55-48 loss to Copperas Cove. For the season, Shepard completed 116 of 211 passes for 1,842 yards, 20 touchdowns and four interceptions. Shepard also has rushed for 1,946 yards and 28 touchdowns on 258 carries.

RB - Stepfan Taylor - Mansfield

In his final high school game, Taylor rushed for 201 yards ands four touchdowns on 36 carries, while also catching three passes for 60 yards and another touchdown in a 41-35 loss to Cedar Hill. Taylor finished the season with 2,463 yards and 33 touchdowns on 396 carries, while also catching 12 passes for 168 yards and a touchdown.

Other key 2010 prospects

WR - Mike Davis - Dallas Skyline

Davis caught eight passes for 96 yards and two touchdowns in Skyline's 35-21 win over Houston Cy Woods. So far this season, Davis has 59 receptions for 1,130 yards and 16 touchdowns.

This week: vs. Round Rock Stony Point at 2PM (Floyd Casey Stadium in Waco)

WR - Kyle Guinyard - Ennis

The fast-rising junior caught nine passes for 92 yard in Ennis' 17-14 loss to Rockwall Heath. For the season, Guinyard had 110 receptions for 1,751 yards and 20 touchdowns.

Ath - James Haynes - West-Orange Stark

Haynes caught four passes for 60 yards in a 35-23 loss to Gilmer. Haynes is a full-time defensive player, but he also has 14 receptions for 166 yards and a touchdown as a receiver, along with 221 yards and four touchdowns on the ground.

RB - D.J. Jones - Denison

Jones rushed 134 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries in Denison's 42-21 loss to Sulpher Springs.

RB -Ben Malena - Cedar Hill

Malena rushed for 122 yards and three touchdowns on 20 carries, while also catching three passes for 107 yards and another touchdown in Cedar Hill's 41-35 win over Mansfield. So far this season, Malena has rushed for 2,086 yards and 34 touchdowns on 298 carries, while catching 20 passes for 276 yards and two more touchdowns.

Other key 2011 prospects

Ath - Quandre Diggs - Angleton

The sophomore star rushed for 107 yards and four touchdowns on 23 carries in a 35-34 loss to Beaumont Central. Diggs has rushed for 1,428 yards and 25 touchdowns on 138 carries, while also adding two receptions for121 yards and a touchdown as a receiver.

QB - Driphus Jackson - Cedar Hill

Jackson completed seven of 11 passes for 190 yards and two touchdowns, while rushing for -18 yards on six carries. For Jackson had completed 102 of 186 for 1,231 yards and eight touchdowns (nine interceptions), while adding 673 yards and six touchdowns on 132 carries.

WR - Miles Onyegbule - Arlington

Onyegbule caught seven passes for 124 yards and a touchdown in Arlington 48-14 loss to Euless Trinity. He caught 43 passes for 645 yards and six touchdowns this season.

Ath - Desmond Rowland - Lake Highlands

The rising junior was held to 29 yards of total offense in a 34-10 loss to Klein Oak. Rowland had 834 yards and five touchdowns on 99 carries, along with 21 catches for 328 yards and four touchdowns as a receiver.

Ath - Stephen Williams - Round Rock Stony Point

The cat-quick Williams caught three passes for 17 yards, while rushing for 21 yards on two carries in Stony Point's 38-6 win over Garland. Williams has 46 receptions for 557 yards and a touchdown, along with 304 yards and two touchdowns on 51 carries for the season.

This week: vs. Dallas Skyline at 2PM (Floyd Casey Stadium in Waco)

RB - Tevin Williams - Euless Trinity

Trinity's starting running back had 87 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries in Trinity's 48-14 win over Arlington. Williams leads the Trojans in rushing with 1,088 yards and 20 touchdowns on 181 carries, along with nine catches for 123 yards as a receiver.
