Single Game Video Snapshot: Andrew Maxwell
During Thanksgiving week SpartanMag.com is running a series of one-game highlight video clips on several Michigan State commitments from the Class of 2009. Each day we will feature a different future Spartan. Each of highlights comes from a single game as opposed to an entire season. The footage was shot over the course of the 2008 football season by SpartanMag.com staffer Rico Beard and other freelancers.
The highlights in today's installment of SpartanMag.com's Thanksgiving week series One Game Video Snapshots feature Elite 11 quarterback Andrew Maxwell.
Maxwell is one of the national Top 250 players in the Class of 2009 according to Rivals.com. He is ranked the No. 8 pro-style quarterback in the senior class.
Maxwell will be the fourth Elite 11 quarterback to join the Michigan State football program since creation of the prestigious invitation-only camp in 1999. Maxwell is just the third Elite 11 selection from the state of Michigan. Current Spartan Keith Nichol, and former Spartan Drew Stanton were Elite 11 selections from Michigan that preceded Maxwell. Jeff Smoker was the first Elite 11 quarterback to play at Michigan State.
The highlights embedded in this article came from Maxwell's first game this season against mid-Michigan powerhouse Mt. Pleasant.
