TCU scores high with Gillespie

Jenks, Oklahoma defensive tackle Tony Gillespie is inching closer to making a decision on where he'll be playing his college ball. The Rivals three-star prospect has offers from several school around the country including Kansas State, Florida, Arkansas, and TCU to name a few.

Gillespie was in Ft. Worth over the weekend to see what the Frogs have to offer. Purplemenace.com caught up with the 6-foot-1, 298 pounder to see how his visit went and it news the Frog fans will certainly like to hear.

"It went real good," he said. "The highlight for me was the bond me and the head coach created in just two days of being there. I was also excited of the bond that me and the other recruits formed while we were all there, those guys were great and we all had a good time. I'd give it an 8 on a scale from 1-to-10."

"Stephen Hodge was my host, that guy is a great guy. I was really glad they put me with him because were just alike. We're goofy outside of the field but we're really competitive once we hit the playing field."

So did the visit move the Frogs up on his list?

"They definitely moved up the list," he said. "They are in my top three for sure, but I'm excited to take my visit up to Kansas State next weekend to see them too."

Gillespie plans to make a decision once he has taken his last visit.

"Kansas State is my last visit this weekend," he said. "I plan on making a decision probably by next Thursday after I visit K-State."
