Woods discusses visit, impending decision

With a transition to a spread offense, one of the priorities for the new Michigan coaching staff on the recruiting front has been the wide receiver position. Strongville (Ohio) star D.J. Woods is one prospect that fits what the Wolverines are looking for at the position, and he made an official visit to Ann Arbor over the weekend.

"I liked it a lot. I had high expectations, and they met them, so overall, it was a good visit," he stated. "I took a tour around campus and just saw everything. The academics, took a tour of the facilities, all the new gear, met the people, and the basic things … I met everybody. Everybody seemed cool. Everybody introduced themselves. They're really nice."

Woods recruitment has followed a rocky path, previously giving commitments to both Nebraska and West Virginia, only to have coaching changes force him to reconsider. With his official visits out of the way, a final verdict on his college destination is not far off, and two teams stand out in his mind.
