Add Arkansas DT to the Official Visit List

Most of 'Vol Nation' is currently consumed with the ongoing search to re-stock the offensive coaching staff, but Phillip Fulmer is about to have much more on his plate than coaching interviews. Recruiting gets back into full swing this weekend, and Tennessee is expected to host upwards of a dozen visitors. One of those will be defensive tackle prospect Lavunce Askew, from Camden, Ark.

Askew (6-foot-3, 280 pounds, 4.8 40-yard dash) gave Arkansas, and then head coach Houston Nutt, a verbal commitment all the way back in the summer before the start of his senior year. Obviously, much has changed since then, and with a new coaching staff in place in Fayetteville, Askew is a prospect that is getting a lot of attention from programs hoping to change his mind.

Askew has already made official visits to Texas Tech and Oklahoma State, and he confirmed to us on Monday that he'll be in Knoxville this weekend, along with high-school teammate and fellow Arkansas commitment De'Anthony Curtis.

Askew made an unofficial visit to Knoxville during the summer, and what he saw then is one of the reasons he's interested in coming back.
