Palmer firm, requests others to jump aboard at WVU

MORGANTOWN-While several of West Virginia's recruits have had trouble deciding on whether they would stay with the Fiesta Bowl champs after Mountaineer coach Rich Rodriguez departed for Michigan, defensive lineman Christopher Palmer has not.

The reason is lead recruiter Bill Kirelawich, the Mountaineer defensive line coach who transcended Rodriguez's departure and new head football Coach Bill Stewart's ascendancy.

"I told him I wasn't going to leave. I told him how I was doing in school and working out. He told me to keep it up and next year I'll be playing for the Mountaineers," said Palmer Sunday night.
