Stadther has earned pre-season award

Zach Stadther received the best honor a defensive player in Arkansas could before the season started. He was voted the pre-season defensive player of the year.

Shortly after receiving the award he told Jayhawk Slant that he wanted to live up to the honor and prove he deserves it. So far he's passing that with flying colors.

There was a lot of interest on Stadther before the season started but it was Kansas defensive coordinator Bill Young that was the first BCS school to extend an offer.
