Davis and teammates winning big games

The once-proud Aldine Eisenhower Eagles have fallen on hard times as of late. Perhaps the most consistently dominant class 5A football team in Houston in the 90's, Ike struggled to a 3-7 record in 2006 under their third head coach in as many years.

However, it seems that Eisenhower has now turned the corner under head coach Darryl Phipps and has begun to reestablish itself as a force to be reckoned with.

After an 0-3 start in non-district play that included losses to state-ranked teams Lufkin and North Shore as well as a last-second defeat at the hands of Humble, the Eagles find themselves in somewhat unfamiliar territory three weeks into district action.
