Fletcher returns from Iowa City
Three-star cornerback Donnie Fletcher returned home to Cleveland on Monday after making an official visit to Iowa City over the weekend. The 6-foot-0, 169-pound Fletcher was hosted by Bruce Davis, who was his teammate at Glenville High School last year.
After a 48-0 victory for Glenville on Friday night, Fletcher's flight left for Iowa bright and early at 6:30 AM on Saturday in order to make it for the early kickoff against Indiana. Despite the Hawkeyes' 38-20 loss to the Hoosiers, the three-star prospect said he liked what he saw from the team's attitude following the setback.
The trip to Iowa City was Fletcher's second official visit in as many weeks as he toured Boston College last weekend. Up next for Fletcher is likely an official visit to Nebraska, which he hopes to setup in the coming weeks. The three-star prospect is also still looking at scholarship offers from West Virginia, Michigan State, Minnesota, Pittsburgh, and NC State, among others, plus is still hearing from Notre Dame as well. Currently, Fletcher plans to make all five official visits before making his decision prior to the end of the year.
