Machen likes what he saw at Tech

Georgia Tech hosted one of the top linebackers in the country last week on an unofficial visit. B.J. Machen, who plays at Darby High School in Hilliard, Ohio, spent a full day at Tech while also visiting relatives in Atlanta. Machen's cousin is current Tech safety DeRon Jasper.

"It was a good trip," Machen said. "We came down Thursday morning and took the tour for the day. I saw a lot of the facilities-- the weight room, where they guys work out, training table, locker rooms. I got a chance to take a tour of the campus. I saw the dorms, the rec center, student union, all that stuff. A lot of the freshman classrooms. I talked to the coaches. I talked to Coach Jon Tenuta, the defensive coordinator. We talked about football with him and where he sees me playing and where he sees me in their scheme, what kind of scheme they run and things like that. I talked to Coach Chan Gailey for a while, just me and my dad, talking about the recruiting process. He told me how to make the right decision and to go to a place where I feel comfortable. He's a real good guy, down to earth, a great coach."
