Preview: Elite College Combine

Many of the top players in the Mid Atlantic and Northeast - some of who are Florida targets - will be participating in the 4th annual Elite College Combine at the Superdome Sports Complex in Waldwick, N.J., on Tuesday night.

Starting in New Jersey, Roxbury inside linebacker Brendan Beal is expected to be in attendance. Beal, who finished with 151 tackles, 11 sacks and two interceptions last season, lists Florida, Notre Dame, Ohio State and Southern California as his top four schools. The 6-foot-4, 235-pound prospect is a member of the pre-evaluation Rivals 100 to watch in 2008. As a sophomore, he finished with 121 tackles and six sacks.

Metuchen wide receiver Dejuan Miller, who had 28 catches for 575 yards and eight touchdowns in his junior season and is also in the Rivals 100 to watch, is expected to work out. Miller, a 6-foot-6 prospect with 4.5-second speed in the 40-yard dash, also had 60 tackles and seven interceptions last season. He lists Florida, Boston College, UConn, Michigan, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Penn State and Rutgers as some of his top schools.
