Rutgers first to offer Maryland DT

After grabbing two players from Maryland during the Class of 2007, Rutgers is continuing their push into the Old Line State. One player that definitely has the Rutgers' coaching staff's attention is DT of Gaithersburg (MD) Quince Orchard, who already has a written offer from RU. ScarletNation.com spoke with Quince Orchard Head Coach Dave Mencarini about Kerr and his recruitment.

Kerr, 6-foot-3 and 295-pounds, lined up at both offensive tackle and defensive tackle during his junior season at Quince Orchard. After the season he was named Honorable Mention All-State and All-Metro, plus 1st Team All-County and All-League. All of this is even more impressive considering Kerr has only played two seasons of organized football.

Besides visits to Virginia Tech and West Virginia, Kerr does not have any other plans right now regarding combines or summer camps.
