Edwards welcomes offer

Last season Syracuse signed two defensive tackles to letters-of-intent, but having a deep rotation has become popular thinking and that is how Orange Coach Greg Robinson would like to handle his defensive line. This season adding more defensive tackles to the rotation is a priority for the staff and they have extended a scholarship offer to jumbo tackle Jewhan Edwards.

Edwards a 6-foot-2, 320-pounder, had a solid season last year and looks to build on his efforts as a senior. The big defensive tackle was a first team All-Catholic League player and an honorable mention for the Class AAAA all-state team.

Edwards names a top five of Michigan, Rutgers, Ohio State, Miami and Syracuse.
