2008 Ohio receiver knows NU's spread
There are probably very few high school juniors with as much knowledge of Northwestern's spread offense as Dublin (OH) Coffman wide receiver Trey Fairchild.
Coffman runs the same type of spread attack as Northwestern and the Shamrocks even study Wildcat game film. Fairchild ran the spread for two years as a quarterback at Coffman and this past season he moved to wide receiver, so he knows the offense from both the throwing and catching side.
It's not surprising, then, that Northwestern is interested in the 6-foot, 185-pounder as a slot receiver, especially when you consider that Fairchild ran a blistering 4.36-second 40-yard dash at a January Rivals camp.
And Fairchild is interested in the Wildcats, as well.
