Texas tidbits: Year of the running back
During the 2007 class in the Lone Star state, many were hailing at as the year of the quarterback. Texas, a state historically known for producing top ball-carriers, may be shifting back to their usual trends with the 2008 class looking heavily centered on top running backs.
When looking at the top junior running backs across the state of Texas, it's pretty easy to see that a handful of great looking runners are already making their mark with scholarship offers in hand and highlights that have people amazed. The elite group in Texas at this point would probably include Van's Jermie Calhoun, Alief Elsik's Jeremy Hills, Cy-Fair's Sam McGuffie, Southlake Carroll's Tre Newton, and Gilmer's Justin Johnson,
