Texas tidbits: Another big defensive crop

Last week's edition of Texas tidbits highlighted the top 2008 offensive prospects in the Lone Star State already in the spotlight. Defensively, there is plenty of junior talent and many of those prospects are expecting early scholarship offers to arrive in their mailbox this fall.

With only three defensive ends in the 2007 class rated above three-stars, the 2008 class may usher in a big change. Missouri City (Texas) Fort Bend Marshall standout Jeremy Coleman, Houston (Texas) Chavez weakside defender Jarvis Smith, Keller (Texas) Fossil Ridge strongside end R.J. Washington, and Houston Yates star Damian Square are going to be some of the D-line prospects to watch out for with this junior class.
