Dantonio: 'It's a program game'

EAST LANSING - Mark Dantonio is disappointed that his team is 5-6 heading into the Big Ten finale at Minnesota following yet another close loss last weekend against Northwestern.

But Michigan State's sixth-year head coach has moved past Northwestern and turned his focus to Minnesota. A win over the Golden Gophers would give Michigan State the prerequisite six wins for bowl eligibility.

Michigan State has been to five straight bowl games.

"I think it's a program game, there's no question about that," Dantonio said. "Sometimes you have your goals in mind. You have to reevaluate your goals as you move forward. Right now, our goal is to go to a bowl game and even up."
