VIDEO:Green wants more, Thornton calls out Conklin
COLUMBUS - Michigan State senior Draymond Green hit clutch shots, he pulled down big rebounds, and he was also clutch on defense against Saint Louis in a 65-61 victory.
After the game was over, Saint Louis coach Rick Majerus expressed his belief that Green was the best player in college basketball.
Green scored 16 points and added 13 rebounds to go along with six assists and two steals. But the senior captain's biggest contribution to the victory might have been the fiery halftime speech he delivered to his team. He provided much-needed encouragement to sophomore point guard, who led the Spartans in scoring with 19 points after being left open by Saint Louis defenders that dared the former Pershing star to shoot.
