Dantonio on Yahoo! Sports Radio from Houston
Michigan State football coach Mark Dantonio had a chance to discuss and relive the great moments of 2013 and the 2014 Rose Bowl during an appearance on the Prime Cut show on Yahoo! Sports Radio, Thursday.
Dantonio appeared on the show while in Houston as a finalist for the Bear Bryant Coach of the Year award.

Dantonio was a finalist along with Auburn's Gus Malzahn, Baylor's Art Briles, Rice's David Bailiff and Stanford's David Shaw.
Malzahn won the award, Thursday evening.
During the radio appearance with hosts Sean Salisbury and John Granato, Dantonio was asked what was going through his mind on Jan. 1 when Kyler Elsworth made the game-capping tackle with a soaring stop on fourth-and-one against Stanford.
Dantonio couldn't quite remember. But he said he had his memory jogged recently while watching the TV copy of the game for the first time.
"I don't know (what my thought was), but I sort of watched the TV copy and I said something. I think I said, 'He didn't make it.' As simple as that," Dantonio said. "When you have a game that goes down to the end and you have a chance to sit and watch as the last minute or so wind down and you don't have to play it out, there is some surreal feelings there, because you have time to let it all settle in on your. It's an emotional experience for you.
"That was a great setting."
Elsworth, a senior, is among several starters the Spartans will have to replace when 2014 spring practice begins in March.
"Kyler is a guy that has made a lot of plays for us throughout the year," Dantonio said. "It's a great message to all young people out there that if you are in a back-up role, if you're not a star player, you just keep working and you keep getting better and you're going to have an opportunity. He worked extremely hard, watched a lot of film that week and dedicated himself to having an outstanding game and he did. And Denicos Allen, the other linebacker, had an outstanding game as well."
While in Texas, Dantonio stopped by at the high school of Houston Cypress Ridge WR recruit Darious Crawley. Crawley, a three-star recruit, visited Michigan State in November. He will visit Kansas this weekend.
Dantonio is scheduled to be back in Michigan Friday morning to speak at the Michigan High School Football Coaches Association Clinic in Lansing.
