November 1, 2009 EAST LANSING - Mark Dantonio met with media Sunday night to talk about the Spartans disappointing 42-34 to Minnesota Saturday evening. After reviewing the film, and evaluating his team as well as the coaches, Dantonio expressed his frustrations with MSU's missed opportunities. Still, Dantonio insisted that his team would continue to play hard."I can only, or we can only, look to see what we can control," Dantonio said. "I can't control somebody in a booth. We have to play the cards that are flipped down. And in the end, we have an opportunity. We have opportunities. "Even at the end of the football game we still have an opportunity." The Spartans (4-5, 3-3) face Western Michigan next Saturday at noon in Spartan Stadium. With three guaranteed games left this season, MSU has no room for error if they hope to still go to a postseason bowl game. "Well, I think you can't reinvent the wheel," Dantonio said when asked if there would be temptation to make some changes heading into the final weeks. "You have to do what you know. You have the best chance to be successful in terms of doing things that you know. But, I'm sure there will be small things, just like there is in every game, that we try and do and we try and emphasize that we make plays on. So there's some of that. "But you just can't recreate the whole system, because then you're starting from scratch and that's when things get even more difficult."
