Defensive tackle Reggie Ellis (6' 2" 278) has attracted the attention of college recruiters across the country despite missing several games last fall because of a series of nagging injuries. He recently was in Pittsburgh to see what the Panthers have to offer.

Ellis told the Pantherlair, "I went to Pittsburgh a few days ago to check out Pitt. The visit was good. I liked the fact that their coaches were laid back. I got to meet three of the coaches. I spent time with Aubrey Hill who has been recruiting me and their linebacker coach. I got a tour of the campus with Coach Hill. We went to Heinz Field and everything. I got a complete tour. Coach Wannstedt was not there but I did get to talk to him (by phone)."
