Washington (D.C.) Dunbar defensive tackle Reggie Ellis continues to draw heavy interest from several college programs. Ellis has remained in regular contact with North Carolina's ace recruiter in the Washington D.C. area; Tommy Thigpen.

"Coach 'Thig; he sends me a text just about every other day, and that's just about it," Ellis said.

While the UNC coaches have remained in steady contact with Ellis, they have yet to officially offer him a tender, mostly because of the scholarship crunch in the Class of 2008, and the fact that the Tar Heels just signed two elite defensive tackles in the 2007 class; Marvin Austin and Tydreke Powell.
