Peach State defensive tackle grabs USC offer
Stockbridge (Ga.) defensive lineman Randy Salmon now has six offers to his credit, including one from Tyrone Nix and the South Carolina Gamecocks.
"I have offers from South Carolina, NC State, Southern Miss, Louisiana Tech, UAB, and Troy," the 6-foot-2, 290-pound Salmon said. "I also just went to Florida's camp, and they may be offering me early in my season."
Salmon, who bench presses 365 pounds, picked up his Gamecock offer back in the spring.
"Coach Nix came by the school and let my coaches know that I have an offer," Salmon said. "I talked to him on the phone, and he told me they are an up and coming program. He said they are very interested in me. Steve Spurrier has a great record, and he knows how to make players better. I'm going to visit them sometime, but I don't have a date setup yet."
