Kabongo has SU offer
At all levels off football there are certain positions that are highly coveted more than others, one of those positions is defensive tackle. Coaches like to use a rotation at the position rather than letting one or two players get the majority of the snaps.
In the case of the Syracuse Orange they need to add some depth from a few impact defensive linemen to improve its rotation. At the beginning of June the Orange offered a player they could see making an impact, Masengo Kabongo a member of the Rivals 250 and the eighth ranked defensive tackle in the country.
Kabongo, 6-foot-3, 279 pounds, is fairly new to the United States and he has only been playing football for three years. When one looks and sees how long he has been playing they may think that it is not out of the ordinary but he did not start playing the game until he moved here from the Congo.
