Fairview pair stand out at camp
Camden (Ark.) Fairview running back De'Anthony Curtis and defensive lineman Lavunce Askew are two of the top prospects at the Houston Nutt Football Camp, which concludes today.
Curtis, 5-foot-10, 209 pounds, 4.41 seconds in the 40-yard dash, and Askew, 6-3, 280, 4.89, are uncommitted at this time, even though their teammate quarterback Jim Youngblood, 6-3 1/2, 216, 4.69, is firmly committed to the Razorbacks. Askew has 13 scholarship offers and is considered the top defender in the Class of 2008, but he enjoyed the camp.
Arkansas, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Auburn, Texas Tech, Clemson, Oklahoma State, Washington and others have offered Askew.
