Staples gaining interest
The Syracuse Orange still remain focused on the state of Ohio in the 2008 recruiting season. Defensive Coordinator Steve Russ recently made a trip to the football rich state and on his trip he stopped and spoke with Orange recruit Justin Staples.
Staples 6-4, 215-pound was supposed to make a visit to New York during his spring break but due to some other conflicts he was un able to make it up to the campus. Even though he missed a chance for a visit in the spring summer looks like a better possibility for the Ohio product.
Scholarship offers continues to come in for the linebacker from all of the BCS conferences.
Purdue and Marshall have offered. Syracuse, Pittsburgh, Oklahoma State and Wisconsin have also shown interest.
His top five remains the same as Pittsburgh, Syracuse, Kentucky, Michigan State and Indiana all continue to hang out in the front of his mind.
