Cwynar hopes to shape Irish future
Sean Cwynar doesn't need another job title.
With all the new responsibilities thrust on the 6-foot-4, 280-pound defensive end from Woodstock, Ill., he'll pass on playing recruiter for his future college program. That doesn't mean Cwynar won't help the Irish bring talent to the 2008 recruiting class, but the Marian Central Catholic standout won't treat the recruiting process as a chance to earn extra credit in marketing.
"I don't want to be known as a recruiter," Cwynar said. "Notre Dame is for some kids and some kids just don't like it. I come from a friend point of view. I don't want to sell them anything; I just want to be cool with them. Even if they commit to another school, I'll probably end up playing them down the line."
