Eisenhower duo happy with A&M decisions
With the frenzied start to the 2008 recruiting campaign for Texas A&M, there are two Houston-area commitments that many fans of A&M recruiting are not as familiar with. Aldine Eisenhower defensive tackle Rod Davis and safety Craig Loston became the eighth commitment for 2008 and the first for 2009, respectively.
Davis was a relative unknown coming into the first Aggie Junior Day. However, the Texas A&M staff thought enough of the 6-foot-3, 305 pounder to make him the first defensive tackle offered in the 2008 class. After two days of considering the offer, Davis pulled the trigger on a commitment to the Aggies.
While A&M was the first to offer Davis, he said he has received verbal offers from Oklahoma and Oklahoma State in the past week.
