V-Cast: Talking Jabari Parker at Jenison

EAST LANSING - Michigan State hasn't played a basketball game in Jenison Field House since 1989.

But the building that Magic put on the map looks as good as ever, as Michigan State celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Game of Change with a weekend of basketball at Jenison.

The weekend begins with an alumni game on Friday Night featuring former stars Steve Smith, Mateen Cleaves, Morris Peterson, Charlie Bell, Antonio Smith and dozens of others.

Tom Izzo's 2012-2013 Spartans square off against Tuskegee on Saturday evening. And Suzy Merchant's ballclub closes out the weekend with a game against IPFW on Sunday afternoon.

Following practice on Thursday SpartanMag staffers Jim Comparoni and Paul Konyndyk shared their thoughts on basketball returning to Jenison this weekend.

Comp and PK also discussed the latest developments in the recruitment of Jabari Parker, who is expected to announce his college choice on Dec. 20.

Izzo and Spartan assistant Dwayne Stephens left practice early on Thursday in order to watch Parker play in Texas.
