Bazata visits Iowa City
Nebraska native Nathan Bazata made his third trip to Iowa City this past weekend. The visit not only gave the 6-foot-2, 270-pound Bazata a chance to watch the Hawkeyes at work in spring practice, but also an opportunity to catch up with the Iowa coaching staff, who is looking at the three-star prospect on both sides of the ball.
"I got to talk to Coach Reese Morgan and then I got to sit in on both the offensive and defensive line meetings and chatted with the coaches," said Bazata. "I guess they're kind of looking at me on both sides now instead of just defensive line."
"Brian Ferentz, their new offensive line coach, said he looked at my tape and likes me on the offensive line, maybe at center, so they're going to look at me there too," he continued. "I kind of prefer defense, but it really doesn't matter to me. I'm just looking for an opportunity to play."
